Cost Advice
Cost savings without compromising design intent or quality, backed by a clear written analysis of each option.
When an estimate or tender comes back over budget, the instinct is to cut whole items. Value engineering is more careful: we analyse the specification and look for alternative materials, methods or sequencing that cost less while keeping what matters about the design.
Each suggestion is costed, so you can see the saving against the original and decide with your architect or designer which changes to accept. The result is a written set of recommendations, not a list of cuts.
Value engineering works best at design stage, alongside a cost plan, but it can also help after tenders are received.

As early as possible, ideally while the design is still developing. It can still help once tenders are in, but there is less room for change.
The aim is to keep the design intent and quality while finding a better-value way to achieve them. Every suggestion is set out with its implications, and you decide what to accept.
